Happy Turkey Day

Aloha,

The older turkey had a great time helping Mommy in the kitchen. This is the second year Taten has helped make Aunt Tonya's secret roll recipe. She is a great little chef, and always very "helpful". The butterball sat in her saucer and watched all the happenings!

Travis and I did Thanksgiving for his crew, napped, and then went to Palmer's for their annual Ohana Thanksgiving. Trav played poker, the girls ran like crazy, and I got to socialize. Great time had by all:)

Taten had her last ballet class this past Tuesday. A big Mahalo to Laura for all of her patience with the cruise director. By the last class Taten was actually doing what she was supposed to do from beginning to end! This was a huge improvement from the beginning of class.

We know that most of you are getting inundated with snow, and think we are crazy for coming back. Yes, we know. Just to prove how much we are trying to soak up the sun, we went to the water park today with friends of ours. Yeah, I'm just being a brat.

See you all in two weeks, and two days.

Love,
Heather

Tessa's 4 month appt.

Well, I knew she was bigger than Taten, just not that much bigger! Tessa weighed in at 17 pounds, 11 ounces, and 24 1/2 inches. She is 3 1/2 pounds bigger than Taten was at 4 months, but they were the same length! I've started having to remind Taten not to call her sister "Chubby, chubby". My fault, I can't help it. We need to come up with a new nickname:) See you all soon.

Heather

4 months already!

Hi Everyone,

Tessa is getting so big!!! Every month I take her picture on the same quilt, with the same toy. Her four month shots, and weigh in are on Tuesday. Keep you all posted. The 16th means we only have 1 month left on the island. See you all soon:)

Christmas Pictures Attempted!

Well, we got the picture for the annual Christmas card taken, but it was no small feat! Coordinating a baby and toddler was comical at best. I thought you would all enjoy the outtakes. It took two days, two trips to the beach, and Daddy's help, but we did it. Have a good laugh at our expense:)

Love,

Yummy!

I don't ever remember even thinking about feeding Taten like a big girl at 3 1/2 months, but here's our little Tessa chowing down. She kept eyeing up our food at meal time, and would create such a commotion whenever Taten would eat. I thought sure, why not, she can sit up with support. I was shocked that it only took one bite, and she was all in. She gets so excited when we put her in the highchair (thanks Palmer's for letting us borrow). Everything is just zooming by with the girls. Taten will be 3 soon! It kills me:) About 6 ish more weeks and we'll be home. Snow, snow, snow.

Love,

Heather

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!!

I hope all of your ghosts and goblins, or angels and devils in our case, had a great time tonight. I was a little concerned about how Taten would react to trick or treating. Amazingly she loved it. Not into the walking part so much, but she actually had a great time trick or treating. She kept telling us, "Another house, another house! More treats." Daddy or course let her ride on his shoulders all night so he was in bed at 8:) Sorry I don't have more pictures, the camera started acting funky half way through the night. And yes, I'm a little burnt from the beach:) I know you feel bad for us.

Some other funny highlights...she loved having sparkawy(her word) hair. And Taten also kept calling Tessa, Baby Devil Tessa.

Happy Halloween,

The Lake's

Ballerina

Hi Everyone,

I can't help but post this. Taten has been taking ballet for about 3 months and finally is getting the gist of the class. I'm not sure what this exercise is called (sorry Laura). Anyway Taten normally would just run to the other side, but last Tuesday she did it!!!!

Proud Mommy,
Heather
